How are we able to develop these complex and very different products quickly and within budget, all while having the confidence that the codebase is stable and production-ready?

Protean Framework

The Protean Framework is a code framework we've developed in-house over the course of 4 years. If you're interested in the gory technical details: it's an object-oriented PHP5 framework based on the Front Controller version of the MVC design pattern. It utilizes many other industry-standard design patterns; both from PoEAA and GoF. We also leverage many open-source third-party libraries within it to gain the benefit of the thousands of manhours spent on these solid base libraries, and have integrated them into Protean. This gives us an extremely robust and solid foundation from which to build new web projects.

Bottom Line:

Having Protean allows us to develop complex applications extremely quickly. We already have the code modules written for e-commerce, e-mail marketing management, user and group accounts, content management, registration and ticket sales, inventory management, and many other modules. Our code is tested, documented, and easy to integrate.

A La Carte Proposals

When a customer first receives a proposal from us, they're usually a bit surprised! We don't offer the all-or-nothing project in an attempt to create vendor lock-in. Since our framework is modular and easy to integrate, we pass along this idea to you. Once we have an initial discussion with you about your particular needs, you'll receive a proposal with A La Carte Modules for your project, along with a price for each. This allows you to pick and choose what modules are most important to you right now, and lets you design the exact product you need while staying within your budget.

Bottom Line:

This method of approaching web development has proven very popular with our clients. We think it's because it puts control of the project back into your hands, the paying customer. We think that's the way it should be.
